Imani Update - November 2012
Dear Friends and Family,
PTL. Glory is to God. This past Saturday, we were able to link our live broadcasts with the Mt. Elgon station, after a few months of praying and trusting God for the provision of funds to purchase the needed equipments.
Finally God opened a door when he brought a buyer for the only property I owned besides my home. I decided to give sacrificially for the work of God. Now, the western region of the country is hearing the true gospel through radio!
Late last month, we had a radio road show and rally in Mt. Elgon at the new station grounds that attracted hundreds of people who came from all the satellite villages. After the message and gospel songs from the community, 14 people gave their lives to Christ when the alter call was made. We give glory and honor to the living God. May He continue bringing people to Himself through these outreach ministries.
Our vigil night prayers that has been going on for close to 2 years now is replete with signs and wonders as the congregation was blessed by a minister from Uganda. This vigil night prayers surprise us every month because of its uniqueness – no vigil night is like any other! Lives are touched and transformed, healing is witnessed and captives are set free. 7 people gave their lives to Christ.
These vigil night prayers are hosted on temporarily tents that seat 500 -800 people once every month. God led me to embark on finishing this chapel which had been left for over 2 years with a foundation. After purchasing the equipments and paying for labor, the balance of money has been used to erect the walls of the chapel. We are now asking for your prayers to put a roof over this prayer mountain. The cost of roofing is estimated to be $3,700 and doors and windows will cost $650.
We also had challenges with electricity for the Mt. Elgon station. When we applied initially, we were given a quotation of 1 million, later scaled down to 800,000! God used a neighbor to allow us use his electricity temporarily and now we have been allowed to apply for separation of metres so that we can have our own bills. We sure see the gentle guidance of the Holy Spirit in all that we do.
