Imani Radio Update - March 2013
IMANI RADIO & TV MINISTRIES
GOD EXPANDS OUR BORDERS
The year has begun well and we thank God for this far. As the bible says do not despise humble beginnings, Imani Radio and TV ministries have been a living testimony to this. Since inception of this ministry in 2005, it is evident that the Lord is guiding and directing it according to His wonderful will. In the period that Imani radio and TV ministries has operated, the Lord has been gracious and faithful elevating it from one glory to the other. From one radio station in a small room, this ministry now runs various outlets that are spreading the word of God effectively and has transformed and changed people’s lives across the East African region and across continents through internet streaming. These include Imani Radio Kitale, Imani Radio Uganda, Imani Radio Mt. Elgon and the newest kid in the block, Imani TV - famously known as iTV with the main objective of reaching out with the gospel to as many people as is possible. Our joy is when a soul is saved, troubled marriages restored, people re-dedicate themselves to Christ and victims of Satan’s oppression are set free.
THE ANTENNA CHALLENGE
The month of February has been one of a kind with a blend of challenges and blessings at the same time. There is a wise saying which says every challenge is preceded by a blessing. We had an antenna challenge in the mid of the month which caused us to be off air in our Kapenguria satellite station. This caused our fans from the North Rift to miss some of our broadcast. It was difficult for us to know where the technical problem was but through prayers, brother Butaki was able to isolate the problem (The problem was in one of these two antennas – picture right) and the technicians were able to rectify the situation; now our signals reception is very clear. We give God all the glory!!
iTV GOING ON AIR SOON!!!
Early this year the Lord surprised us when we got the license to run a TV station. Throughout the month of February we have been running up and down working on the content and acquiring the necessary resources in terms of equipment and man power to facilitate the success of running a TV station. So far, we are hoping that iTV will be going on air in the early weeks of March. However, finances continue to be a challenge but with God we know that all shall be well. Somebody said when it is God’s will then it is God’s bill. We believe strongly that this ministry is in accordance to the will of God and He will supply our needs according to His riches in glory.
NIGHT VIGIL PRAYERS
Imani Radio hosts vigil night prayers once every month on the second Friday. This night prayers are popularly known as ‘KESHA’ and is attended by more than 20 pastors from different denominations with over 500 people. Some travel from as far as Bunyore in Western Kenya which is actually more than 150km away. These night prayers are broadcasted life on radio and requests from listeners are taken and prayed for. We have groups of prayer warriors that stand in the gap for those in need and are trusting God to make a turning point in their lives. These services are carried out in our chapel.
FAITH LIFT HOUR
Some time back the Lord put it in our hearts to begin lunch hour fellowship where the staff and the community meet together to worship God and listen to His word. Last month this program has been going on well in our chapel and the lives of many have been touched and blessed by the Lord.
RADIO LIVE PRAYERS
This is a program of its kind that we have done consistently since the inception of Imani Radio and TV Ministries. It is run on a daily basis at 6:00pm for one hour by volunteer intercessors and partnering pastors. People send in prayer requests and are prayed for live through the radio. We are happy to partake in this blessing because indeed God has manifested Himself through wonders and miracles in this session. We give God all the Glory and honor for the many answered prayers.
Through our Partners; The Faith Radio, we have received donated literature (Bibles, Books, tapes and commentaries) from Edwin L. Hodges Ministries to be used for evangelism in our missions in Kenya and Uganda. We give God the glory for the opportunity to witness to His people through this literature.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
PRAY FOR US THAT:-
1) As we gear towards elections as a country on Monday 4th March, the Lord will grant us peace and a leader of his choice.
2) The Lord will provide finances for the running of iTV.
3) The favor of the Lord will continue shinning upon this ministry and the entire staff.
4) That God may bring people to stand with this ministry in prayers throughout 2013
